PEER RECOVERY COACHING SERVICES
A peer recovery specialist is an individual with lived experience of mental health or substance use challenges who utilizes their personal recovery journey to support others in their own recovery processes. They act as mentors, motivators, and advocates, helping individuals build skills, set goals, and navigate challenges in their recovery. Peer recovery specialists work alongside traditional treatment professionals, offering a unique perspective grounded in shared experience. They help people to create their own recovery plans, and develop their own recovery pathways. The unique relationship between the peer recovery coach and the individual in or seeking recovery is grounded in trust, and focused on providing the individual with tools, resources, and support to achieve long-term recovery.
